Palm Springs has things to do every day, throughout
the year, whatever your interest:
Shopping opportunities abound, from vintage shops in northern
Palm Canyon, to art galleries and souvenir shops downtown, to the
very chic El Paseo shops in Palm Desert. Or drive a few miles out
of town to Cabazon for designer outlet stores.
A thriving downtown scene can be found on Palm Canyon Drive, where
the area becomes a giant street festival during VillageFest, happening
every Thursday evening. Arenas Road has evolved into something
of a “Castro Street South” with shops, restaurants
and popular bars. Palm Springs' neighbor to the east, Cathedral
City, is also a popular spot to take in the social scene.
Palm Springs is surrounded by and imbued with natural wonders.
Hiking trails and bike rentals can help you explore the desert,
mountains and canyons on your own. Or get a bird's eye view from
a hot air balloon or aerial tramway. A tour of local museums and
botanical gardens completes your nature tour.
And, like any respectable resort, Palm Springs has no shortage
of opportunities to play a round of golf, work on your topspin
or try your luck at the blackjack table.
